03The Global Network Management department is responsible for the management and strategy of Bank Julius Baer’s custodian and cash correspondent relationships. As a Global Network Manager, you will be responsible for managing this network of Agent Banks. We are a pivotal team that has touchpoints across the entire global organisation and a significant impact on the success of the firm. In this highly varied role, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of these relationships and play a central role in ensuring best in class provision of post trade services to the bank, as well as further developing the network to meet our evolving needs. In this exciting role - no two days will be the same. The opening would suit a candidate with ambition to develop a broad, cross-disciplinary expertise and have exposure to a wide range of processes and initiatives.
01Global responsibility for assigned custodian and cash correspondent relationships, which includes:
02• Active service management of Agent Bank relationships, conducting regular service meetings, service reviews, due diligences, the active monitoring, and management of service provision to Bank Julius Baer
03• Negotiation and management of fees, ensuring understanding of costs, evolution, as well as idea generation and implementation to achieve cost optimisations
04• Oversight of contracts, negotiation, and implementation of documentation necessary for these relationships
05• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and deliver on continued Front to Back process optimisation across the network
06• Understanding of market and agent developments, trends, and opportunities to Bank Julius Baer and dissemination to stakeholders
07• Maintain deep understanding of the custody rules and a strong ability to apply knowledges to support with internal advisory / consultancy to support business and client needs Bank Julius Baer service delivery which includes:
08• Develop deep custody and payments expertise to be able to provide guidance to client facing units on local account opening requirements, market custody rules and service issues
09• Establish and maintain strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders associated with custody and cash correspondent service (ie. Operations, Trading, Global Custody, Private Banking Front Office, Compliance, etc)
10• Respond promptly and effectively to any market specific queries and escalations from Business, Operations, or other colleagues
11• Work in the team to support colleagues with markets and tasks as and when required
12• Contribute to special projects and initiatives within Bank Julius Baer as required
13• Undertake necessary steps with internal and external colleagues to remediate any identified issues to ensure market compliance
14• Contribute to help shape a culture of openness, enthusiasm and curiosity within the team and the firm
