A monthly net stipend of either 6372 or 7004 Swiss Francs per month depending on your degree.
Your responsibilities: Collaborating with project stakeholders (project engineers, designers, draftsmen, etc.) and contributing to the design-for-manufacturing phase to ensure optimal fabrication solutions. Review and revise 2D drawings, with particular attention to geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, in preparation for fabrication. Contributing to the definition of appropriate make-or-buy strategies to determine whether components should be produced within CERN's facilities or outsourced to industrial partners. Preparing technical specifications and related documentation for invitations to tender and price enquiries. Preparing fabrication schedules in coordination with relevant stakeholders and following up on internal manufacturing activities. Leading preparatory activities for fabrication, such as defining and procuring suitable raw materials and preparing fabrication sequences, including QA/QC aspects. Managing subcontracted production carried out by external companies.
