The role
0401Develop fundamental market views and trade ideas across grains, oilseeds/vegoil.
02Build dynamic supply-and-demand balances, crop modeling- yield and production modeling incorporating weather.
03Identify relative-value, calendar-spread, basis, and outright-price opportunities.
04Develop Python based models using fundamentals, price relationships, seasonality, and trade-flow data.
05Experience of executing and monitoring trades within defined risk limits; manage positions, P&L, and market risk.
06Maintain large-scale commodity datasets, dashboards, and research tools.
07Present market views, trading recommendations, and risk scenarios to portfolio managers and management.
Requirements
↳15 years+ experience in agricultural commodity research and analytics.
↳Deep expertise in grain and oilseed/vegoil markets; soft-commodity experience preferred.
↳Strong understanding of global flows, supply-demand balances, and futures-market structure.
↳Demonstrated record of developing actionable trade ideas and managing or supporting commodity risk.
↳Advanced Python and Excel/VBA skills; experience with data modelling and machine-learning techniques is prefered.
↳Strong quantitative, commercial, and communication skills.
↳Degree in economics, finance, engineering, maths, or a related quantitative discipline.
↳Preference of being based in Geneva/Zug.
