Main responsibilities:

Teaching (45%) Six hours a week of teaching throughout the year in French: A release from two hours' weekly teaching / year will be granted during the pre-tenure period in the case of recruitment of a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor. The post-holder will supervise Master's dissertations and PhD theses.

Research (45%) The post-holder will pursue their own research in the field of Education through sport (with a disciplinary orientation towards the social sciences). Given the needs of the institute, profiles with a background in psychology are not a priority/expected. The post-holder will be expected to produce international-level research publications. It is expected that the post-holder will be affiliated to one of the research centres in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and work within the Institute of Sports Sciences (ISSUL). They will also seek external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Administrative responsibilities (10%) Pursuant to Rectorate Directive, members of teaching staff are required to take on administrative tasks within their Department, Faculty and the University. For the Faculty, these tasks involve sitting on committees and decision-making or representation bodies.

Ability to teach in French within two years.
