The role

We are looking for an Operations Planner (m/f/d) for our location in Visp. You are responsible for the comprehensive operations planning in Manufacturing Complex 2. This includes the coordination of all operational activities (long, mid and short term) within Manufacturing Complex 2, including resources and materials, as well as the coordination of large and small investment projects including qualification activities as needed.
01Responsible for the operations planning (shop floor scheduling) for large scale mammalian Manufacturing Complex 2 which is a 6 x 20kL production bioreactor facility.
02Development of an integrated plan to coordinate all operational activities (short term day to day on shop floor, and recommendations to the master production schedule related to capacity) within Manufacturing Complex 2.
03Coordination and planning of the tasks and requirements of the different areas such as Procurement Planning, Manufacturing Complex 2 Leadership Team and Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering, Global Engineering and Lonza Services.
04Develops and owns the Summary Production Schedule (SPS) which is driven by Supply Chain demand Planning and the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
05Development of detailed plans for production planning, maintenance planning, resource planning and availability of plant and equipment.
06Proactive development of strategies to anticipate or counteract possible future supply bottlenecks.
07Active development of measures to improve planning accuracy (process and system optimizations).
08Development, maintenance and training/compliance on the scheduling tool/system and its use in implementing operations in the facility.
09Develop the planning strategy for Manufacturing Complex 2 Operations.
Requirements
↳Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain or biotechnology or corresponding training qualification.
↳Professional experience in production environment (GMP), experience on the shop floor in a biologics operation a distinct advantage.
↳English business proficient and German an advantage.
↳Expert knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP and MES systems such as Syncade.
↳Proficiency in creation of an integrated schedule in planning software such as Orchestrate, Schedule Pro or Aspen planning a distinct advantage.
↳Proficient knowledge of Office programs, especially MS Project.
↳Experience on scheduling/capacity optimization programs is also desirable.
↳Several years of experience in supply planning in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology an advantage.
