Product Configuration Management Establish and maintain product configuration baselines for aircraft systems, subsystems, and components. Manage Engineering Change Proposals, Orders, and Requests from approval to implementation. Control engineering drawings, specifications, technical data packages, and product documentation releases. Maintain accurate Bills of Materials, parts lists, and product structure hierarchies. Ensure traceability between requirements, design data, test records, and as-built configurations.
Change Management & Control Lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). Evaluate proposed changes for technical impact, cost, schedule, certification, and regulatory implications. Coordinate change implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and maintenance organizations. Manage engineering deviations and approvals. Track efficiency of changes across units.
Aviation Regulatory Compliance & Certification Ensure configuration management processes comply with aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements. Support FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority certification activities, including compliance reports. Maintain conformity records to support continued airworthiness. Provide support for audits, internal and external configuration management assessments, and all required documentation for these activities.
Systems & Tools Management Support Product Lifecycle Management system (e.g. Teamcenter). Integrate configuration data with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) for manufacturing and supply chain. Utilize requirements management tools (e.g. Polarion) to maintain traceability. Generate configuration reports, metrics, and dashboards for program management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, flight test, certification, and program management teams. Coordinate with suppliers on configuration requirements and changes. Support manufacturing with As Designed and As-Built configuration management.
