Exclusive Mandate > On behalf of our client, an internationally active, medium-sized pharmaceutical company in the region of Schaffhausen, we are seeking a Head of Global IT & Business Applications.
This position combines end-to-end responsibility for global IT with direct ownership of ERP and Business Applications. We are looking for a leader who understands the business behind the technology - connecting processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and other corporate functions while translating business needs into practical, scalable IT solutions.
Tasks
- Lead the global IT function, ensuring stable and secure IT operations and business continuity
- Own the ERP and Business Applications landscape, including governance, system performance and continuous improvement
- Define and execute the global IT strategy and transformation roadmap, focusing on standardisation, process harmonisation and business value
- Strengthen IT governance, cybersecurity and compliance across the organisation
- Lead and develop the global IT team and manage external service providers, budgets and investments
- Act as a trusted business partner to executive management and key functions, ensuring close alignment between business priorities and IT
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Strong IT leadership experience, including global or multi-site responsibility
- Proven track record of combining broad IT leadership with direct ERP / Business Applications ownership
- Solid experience in IT strategy, digital transformation and business process optimisation, with a sound understanding of cybersecurity, governance, compliance and AI
- A pragmatic and hands-on approach, with experience leading international teams and external service providers
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage
