The role

The Occupational Health (OH) Nurse supports the health, safety, and well‑being of employees by delivering on‑site occupational health services for DePuy Synthes in Switzerland and provide regional support as needed. This role provides clinical care, health surveillance, and case management while ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations and company standards. The position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe work environment, supporting employee well‑being, and enabling business continuity in a regulated manufacturing environment.
01Provide occupational health nursing services, including assessment, triage, and first‑line clinical care for employee health concerns.
02Support management of occupational health vendor relationships and healthcare providers to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
03Manage work‑related injury and illness cases, including treatment coordination, documentation, and return‑to‑work support.
04Support health surveillance programs, medical monitoring, psychosocial risk assessments, and compliance with occupational health requirements.
05Maintain accurate, confidential employee medical records in accordance with privacy regulations and company policies.
06Partner with EHS, FM (E&PS), HR, and business leaders to identify, assess and mitigate workplace health risks.
07Deliver employee education on occupational health, safety, and wellness topics.
08Participate in incident investigations and recommend preventive or corrective actions related to employee health.
09Promote DePuy Synthes and Johnson & Johnson Credo values in all employee and clinical interactions.
Requirements
↳Nursing diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required)
↳Typically 4 - 6 years of experience in occupational health, employee health, or clinical nursing roles
↳Valid nursing license/registration in Switzerland
↳Knowledge of occupational health regulations, clinical best practices, and employee health programs
↳Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case and vendor management skills
↳Ability to manage sensitive medical information with discretion and confidentiality
↳Effective communication skills to work with employees, leaders, and cross‑functional partners.
