To support and protect our innovation-driven business, the Group Intellectual Property plays a pivotal role in securing competitive advantages, supporting technological progress, and creating long-term value across the organization
Your tasks:
- Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and scientists to identify potentially patentable inventions
- Conduct patentability searches
- Provide strategic advice on optimal protection routes
- Guide inventors in documenting inventions and preparing high-quality invention disclosures
- Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications to secure and maintain IP protection worldwide
- Manage and instruct external patent counsel as appropriate
- Instruct and supervise FTO searches
- Conduct freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses and assess third-party rights
- Advice on infringement risks and measures for risk mitigation
- Draft contractual positions and advice on IP related matters
- Qualification as a European Patent Attorney
- A strong scientific background in chemistry or a closely related discipline
- Proven experience in patent prosecution
- Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating IP-related agreements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
