We are looking for a Procurement Manager (6 Month FTC) to join the Procurement Team.
The Procurement Function consists of approximately 19 colleagues across the UK, US and Denmark. split across 3 sub-teams – Sourcing, Contracts & Governance, and Special Projects. Whilst each team has their own specific responsibilities, the team work together in a highly collaborative environment to support the delivery of joint objectives.
The Procurement Manager will sit within the Sourcing sub-team, working along side 8 other Procurement Managers / Procurement Officers.
The Procurement Managers role is to ensure PureGym spends its money effectively, efficiently and economically, achieving value for money whilst reducing risk via a sustainable supply chain. Key performance metrics include savings, contract compliance and due diligence completion.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities activities are below.
· Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business/functional objectives.
· Lead multiple, simultaneous sourcing activities including but not limited to RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking activities, contract renewals and direct supplier negotiations. This includes:
o Facilitating / project managing the end-to-end process from project initiation to supplier mobilization, effectively communicating progress status updates throughout.
o Working with stakeholders to identify and define requirements.
o Reviewing the market to identify potential suppliers and solutions.
o Negotiating commercial terms with suppliers.
o Working closely with Contract Managers to support legal negotiations.
o Working closely with Procurement Governance Manager to support the due diligence / supplier vetting process.
o Working with senior stakeholders to obtain sign off and approvals.
o Supporting stakeholders to mobilise contracts / suppliers effectively.
· Provide support to business stakeholders during supplier management activities, actively contributing to supplier performance reviews and quarterly business review meetings.
· Be the point of escalation for contractual and supplier performance issues.
· Provide support and sound commercial advice to stakeholders on all procurement matters.
· Develop strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions including IT, Ops / FM, Property, Finance, HR and Marketing.
· Ensure stakeholders are aware of and adhere to the Procurement policies / standards.
· Identify areas of opportunity – in the form of cost reduction, service improvement and risk mitigation, and work with stakeholders to identify a plan for delivery.
· Support the development of the Procurement teams strategy and plan.
· Actively contribute to ensure the team meet all Procurement KPIs – including financial savings / benefits, contract compliance, sourcing compliance etc.
· This is a hybrid role, split across home-working and any applicable PureGym Office (Copenhagen, Zurich, London and or Leeds).
· There will be the need for occasional international travel (within Europe), up to 4 times per year.
