What you will move in this role:

• Development of technical concepts for implementing functional safety features in an embedded software environment
• Supporting the Functional Safety Manager in creating and reviewing the Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and system requirements
• Performing software safety analyses (e.g., DSA, FMEA for software)
• Leading, creating, and maintaining software safety requirements, including related verification criteria
• Deriving and aligning the impact of functional safety features on the software architecture in close cooperation with the Software Architect (including software components, interfaces, and hardware resources)
• Ensuring compliance with relevant ASPICE processes and alignment of all development activities with the required ASIL/SIL levels
• Developing a roadmap for functional safety features based on the Safety Plan and project releases
• Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors in the area of Software Functional Safety
• What skills and experience you should bring:
• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable field
• At least 7 years of experience in the automotive software field and 3 years in the area of Functional Safety (ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
• Practical experience with Infineon AURIX microcontrollers; knowledge of STM32 is a plus
• To be successful in this role, you must have proven hands-on experience with Functional Safety standards, particularly ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508
• Very good English skills; German is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, structured way of working, team orientation, and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
